Welcome to Blackwater Steelers Basketball Club

Originally established in Emyvale we now train in a couple of venues around Monaghan Town. Since the 2016/2017 season we compete in the North East Basketball Board (NEBB) League, the Official Area Board of the North East, covering Monaghan, Cavan, Louth and Meath.

This season we have 11 juvenile teams across all age ranges plus for the first time a Senior Mens team. We also have the Blackwater Steelers Junior Academy which is for Primary school children from 3^rd to 6^th class.

Congratulations to Paddy Mulligan on being selected to join the U17 Irish men's squad.
For his transition year Paddy joined and trains with the NABA Lanzarote basketball academy which plays in the Canary island league and also in the European Youth Basketball League. We look forward to watching Paddy's journey over the coming season. 🏀🏀🏀🏀@paddymulligan14

U15 Basketball Ireland Academy 2023/2024

Huge congratulations to Pijus Januskevicius and Blake McVicar who have been selected to take part in the U15 Boys Academy programme.

Also Cora McCaughey, Faye Trainor and Brannagh Connolly who made the girls U15 Academy panel.

In addition, Cora, Faye and Brannagh were also selected for the Team NI @basketball_ni programme. Well done all!! the club are so proud of you as its a wonderful achievement👏🏀👍

Registration Form & Code of Conduct

Players and parents/guardians should read and understand the Code of Conduct [available here ] and then download and complete the Registration Form [available here]. The Form needs to be signed by both the player and parent/guardian.

Please give the completed Form together with payment in a envelope clearly labelled with the player's name to the Team Manager at this weeks training session. Alternatively payment can be made by electronic transfer at the details below.
