There are usually a number of basketball Camps happening during the summer months.

Tyrone Towers Basketball Camp

Age: 7-19

Dates: Last year dates were 11th – 15th August

Residential: No

Cost: £– discounts for club members and families

Location: Dungannon

This is the longest running basketball camp in Northern Ireland and this year the head coach is Ed Randolph.

Basketball Ireland National Basketball Summer Camps (Gormanston)

Age: 12 – 18

Dates: usually 6th July – 11th July / 13th – 18th July

Residential: Yes

Cost: €375 for residential / €200 for day campers.

Location: Dublin

The national basketball summer camps were moved to Gormanston 8 years ago. The camp brings the best of coaches in Ireland and from other countries. Based north of Dublin, 2 weeks are available from 6th July to the 18th.

Rip n Run Irish Basketball Summer Camps

Age: 11+

Dates: usually Week 1 Sunday July 27th-Saturday August 2nd.
Week 2 Sunday August 3rd-Saturday August 9th.

Residential: Yes

Cost: €385 for residential

Location: Dublin 20

Rip n Run is a residential only basketball summer camp run by some of Ireland’s elite coaches including BNI’s Adrian Fulton and Mark Ingle of DCU Mercy. It is based in The King’s Hospital, Palmerstown, Dublin 20. There are 2 weeks available. Check out the video of last year’s camp for an idea of what to expect!

Queens Basketball Summer Camp

Age: 7-18

Dates: To be confirmed : last year dates were 2nd – 6th July

Residential: No

Cost: £95 – discounts for families and club members

Location: Belfast

Annual basketball camp from the largest junior club in Basketball Northern Ireland. The Queens basketball camp is held in the Queens PEC in Belfast.

Donegal Town Basketball Summer Camp

Age: 7 – 18

Dates to be confirmed: last yer dates were 30th July – 3rd August

Residential: No

Cost: €55

Location: Donegal

Donegal Town are hosting their own Camp again this year and its on the 30th of July to the 3rd of August. The Junior camp runs from 10am to 2pm and the Senior Camp is 2.30pm to 6.30pm. Camp head Coaches are Stephen Carty & Kevin Sinclair.

Hard to Guard Basketball Summer Camp

Dates: usually 4-8th August / 11th – 15th August

Residential: No

Cost: £80

Location: Belfast

Hard to Guard basketball camps are run by Lisburn basketball club which is one of the largest clubs in BNI and has produced some of it’s most elite players. Features American and Superleague coaches.
